Altocumulus cloud layer at (1) with lower stratocumulus elements (2) present in the foreground. Viewer is looking east toward the sunrise. Farther to the south (right), some morning stratus is suggested at (3). Photograph taken in the warm sector of an intensifying cyclone to the west over the Great Plains.
