General Discussion:
Expect warm temperatures today and a cool down as we head into tomorrow due to a cold frontal passage. Isolated showers are possible along the front Thursday night into Friday with cloud cover decreasing Friday afternoon. Highs only peak in the 70s for Friday and the lower 70s for Saturday.

Technical Discussion:
Key Messages:
- One more warm day expected for Thursday
- Cold front comes through Thursday evening into Friday morning with isolated showers possible
- Below average temperatures stick around for the remainder of the forecast period
Surface high pressure continues to dominate the Eastern Seaboard giving us a return to southerly surface flow. This will continue to advect warm air into the region with today expected to be the warmest day of the forecast period. Currently, a cold front is draped from Wisconsin south to the territory of Kansas. This cold front will be the main focus of this forecast period as we go throughout the 24 hours.
A mid-level trough associated over the Northern Plains will deepen as we head into this weekend. This deepening trough will continue to drag the cold front southward later this evening. Temperatures ahead of the front are expected to the warmest with widespread upper 80s and a few cumulus clouds. The bulk of the low-level moisture will be post frontal bringing cloud cover Thursday night into Friday morning. The anafront will have meager lift and upper level dynamics to support widespread precipitation. As a result, isolated showers (20%) will be possible. Ensemble precipitation amounts showed pathetic QPF amounts of less than 0.05in which correlates with the lack of good forcing associated with the front.
As the trough continues to deepen into Saturday, Missouri will be under northwest flow aloft. Cooler temperatures are to be expected as cold air advection floods the region into Saturday. As a result, we can expect our coolest day of the forecast period to be Saturday with highs in the low 70s and a slight crisp in the air.
